The Pre-Karate Kub Program is not only a motor skill development class utilizing developmentally appropriate movement activities tailored for children ages 4 to 6 years old, but a program in which life skills are taught to your child. We believe it is never too early to instill life skills in a child. Life skills are taught to your child in a way they can understand and apply, not only at home, but at daycare or school. Our program will also improve their body awareness, concept of movement, cognitive learning skills and locomotor skills. Your child will be introduced to the basic skills, traditions and discipline of Taekwondo. The program also places much emphasis on teaching young children self-awareness, goal setting, the concept of working to achieve results, and encourages children to learn in a safe and friendly environment.
This unique program also focuses on the significance of good health, nutrition and physical conditioning in order to lead physically active, healthy lives. It is truly an exercise with a purpose!

Each class is also adjusted to take into account the wide range of skill and fitness levels that characterizes children of young ages. With the decline of life skills and physical fitness programs in our school systems, the need to address these aspects of your child's growth and development has become essential. Your child is learning the core aspects of being a healthy, happy adult at this crucial age. Our program not only addresses the very important skills listed above, but also gives you an opportunity to develop and improve them on a consistent year-round basis with highly qualified instructors and mentors. Pre-Karate Kubs Reward Systems
Everyone loves to earn Merit Badges and our award system is not only inspiring, but an effective way of introducing and instilling life skills for your child. Our system offers life skills from Confidence building, Teamwork values, Good Character, Integrity, Respect, along with Manners and many more. We provide our students with valuable physical, interpersonal, and leadership skills. With our skilled instructors, your child will develop Self-Respect, Self-Confidence and Self-Discipline along with many other good character traits.
During each class, the current life skill will be discussed with the students in a way they can understand. With this process, your child is consistently learning very important life lessons. Your child will earn badges that can be proudly displayed on his/her uniform. With each life skill, the student and parent will receive a handout explaining it and how it is used in our daily lives. All students begin with earning the FAMILY merit badge. We believe the Family is most important in each person's life and therefore it is the first badge the student earns.
Good family values are the foundation of a quality family environment. These values help shape and guide our children in today’s very challenging society. We, as parents, must make it our priority to teach and encourage good family values. It provides the foundation for our children to be their very best. These values teach our children that their family are the people whom they can love, trust and depend upon. Our academy believes greatly in good family values including Respect and Teamwork. You can trust us to help support you in reinforcing your good family values in every class we instruct.
The first merit badge, "FAMILY" is given to the student not by our instructors, but given to the parent to award to his/her child.
