One of the greatest compliments we can receive is when a student or one of our parents takes the time to write how they feel about us and our school. We appreciate all of our students and parents and thank you for being a part of Vision Martial Arts Academy.
TESTIMONIALS
Toward the end of our son's second grade year, it was suggested by his teacher that we should work on his self-confidence, his maturity, and his ability to focus. His grades were near failing and he would sometimes disrupt the class to talk to his friends. We decided to enroll him in Vision Martial Arts Academy. Within the first few weeks, we began to see a transformation of a nervous little boy who wouldn't look people in the eye into a young man full of honor, respect, and self-esteem.
Ms. LaValley not only teaches her students the moves of Taekwondo, but also the tenets behind it - courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, respect, and victory. We were amazed how involved and loving she is toward her students. She and her wonderful staff make you feel like one of the family.
It's been 5 months and we are proud to say that our son is on the "A/B Honor Roll", won a "Kiwanis Terrific Kid" award, and recently just earned his orange belt! He looks us in the eye when he talks to us and amazes everyone he meets with his manners and respect toward others. We truly believe that if our son hadn't enrolled in Vision Martial Arts Academy, he would still be struggling. Thank you Vision Martial Arts Academy for helping to mold our son into the great young man he is today!
Sincerely,
Bryan and Brooklyn Jackson

“My daughter Grace (age 7) was diagnosed with a language disability and sensory processing disorder. It was recommended that we try martial arts to help with her ‘fine motor skills’. We started taekwondo at Vision Martial Arts in June 2009. After 8 weeks, Grace had gone from not being able to jump rope or doing sit-ups to doing BOTH and increasing her response time which translates to her education also. Her focus in school has increased and her writing and speech have improved just by helping her development of motor skills in taekwondo.
Her respect and obedience at school and at home are wonderful! This experience has helped instill WONDERFUL character that she continues to develop. We have a different child now and no longer need private occupational therapy and she loves going to taekwondo.
Ms. LaValley has the patience and passion that inspires my daughter to do her best. She teaches valuable Life skills. One of my proud moments recently was when Grace came home from school and said, “Mommy, I showed integrity today when no one was looking and without being asked. I helped at school and followed your instructions and you were not there.”
I recommend to everyone that they should come see what Ms. LaValley and her school has to offer them. We are glad we found Vision Martial Arts and Ms. LaValley. ~ Mrs. Spears, Norman, OK

“My child has grown not only in his martial arts skills, but also as a person. His self-esteem has increased and school grades improved. Vision Martial Arts Academy is the epitomy of what a professional martial arts school should be. Amber LaValley makes class for children and adults alike, not only a learning experience, but FUN!” ~ Mrs. N. Dewbre, Purcell, OK

“I have been attending the Vision Martial Arts studio since July 2009. In the last 3 months I have lost 20 pounds, gained strength in my upper body and firmed up my legs. I have had friends who don’t know about my “working out” tell me that I have changed my appearance drastically. I feel better and have lost 2 inches off of my waist! I have more energy and confidence. The instructor, Amber LaValley, is very helpful and knowledgeable. I think that it is important to be able to learn from a World Champion who is a 3rd Degree Black Belt. I feel that I can better take care of myself if I am in a situation where I have to defend myself.
I also participate in the Cardio Kick-Boxing, which is after my hour of Taekwondo. I remember the first time that I took the class. I had to wait for awhile before I caught my breath. Now I am able to talk and walk to my vehicle directly afterwards. I have a lot of fun participating in both of the classes. I try to attend 3 times a week. The entire environment there is inviting and warm. Come on by and join me in a class and the fun!" ~ R.C. – Lexington, OKUPDATE: It is now January, 2010 and I have lost 6 inches off my waist!!! I am very happy!!! ~ R.C. - Lexington, OK

"I began Tae Kwon Do training at Vision Martial Arts Academy in July, 2009 after a friend invited me to attend one class to check it out. I can honestly say that after that first class, I was hooked. I love the discipline and I'm very glad I found my way to Ms. LaValley's school for training.
Besides being a skilled martial artist,Ms. LaValley is a wonderful instructor whether she's working with people twice her age or with 4 year olds. I personally like that there's not competition or pressure among the students. Ms. LaValley works with us both as a group and individually to help each student reach their full potential. She encourages the students to support each other. Since I've started training, I feel better, more confident and I have more energy.
What I didn't know when I started taking classes is that there's more to Tae Kwon Do than just kicking and punching. Tae Kwon Do combines self-defense and exercise with the philosophy of integrity, perseverance and self-control.
I would recommend to anyone that they attend a class and try it for themselves. Everyone can get something from training in Tae Kwon Do regardless of their age or physical ability. Ms. LaValley will make sure of it." ~ Mrs. L. Kill, - Norman, OK
